My FL Story

I discovered fanlistings thanks to a Brazilian friend named Natasha sometime in September 2002. She used to own a domain named beautiful-way.com back then and she explained me this, back in the days, innovative concept.

At that time, thefanlistings.net was a little green page with inline frames and a "blend" of that Buffy actress, updated manually.

I was so excited something like this exist, that I broke the rules, almost immediately. I made a fanlisting for forests and submitted it all done. Luckily, I ran into a nice staffer, Bee from Australia, who allowed me to do that. My second fanlisting was for Erich Maria Remarque and, to this day, it hasn't even reached 30 members.

Then there was a Christmas break. That was when I found out that Christmas lasts for more than a month in the old-world-order's "First World". But after that was over, there was an old new website, thefanlistings.org, maintained by Sasha and Summer, as well as a bunch of staffers. Then it was maintained by...wait a minute, I don't even remember everything. D'oh

My first collective was called Futura, the next one was Flatout Blind at flatoutblind.org. I still want that domain back, honestly. For a long time, I was running fanlistings with my Belgian friend Inge there.
